Writing Professional Emails

Throughout students' academic and professional careers, email will likely be one of the main methods of communication with professors, advisors, and potential employers. This workshop aims to provide an overview of email etiquette and professional language used when sharing information and/or making requests via email. In this session, participants will review tips for crafting emails that include:

-A clear subject line
-Appropriate greetings, sign-offs, and formatting
-Language that is appropriate in tone
-A clear organization of ideas
-Relevant information and key details
