Despite being highly qualified and having previous work experience, many international students face a myriad of challenges in finding a job and acing interviews in a new country. These challenges usually arise due to the differences between the work environment in their home countries and the workplace culture in Canada.
Becoming accustomed to this new system requires both patience and effort. The first step should be learning the ABCs of the Canadian workplace culture by unpacking various communication and feedback styles, networking, and many other relevant norms and expectations.
