Governing Artificial Intelligence for Humanity Workshop
The Center for International Affairs and World Cultures is excited to announce its Global Spotlight Project for 2024-2025 titled, "Governing Artificial Intelligence for Humanity".
Join us on Oct 23rd for an insightful workshop titled "The Future of Global Governance on Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Processes".
This event will explore how countries around the world are working together to manage and regulate the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence (AI). As AI technologies become increasingly influential in our lives, understanding how global policies and strategies are shaped is crucial.
We will also celebrate the launch of HuMach, a groundbreaking three-year research initiative focused on AI and human-machine interactions. Led by Professor Ingvild Bode, HuMach aims to address key questions about how humans and AI systems can work together effectively and ethically. Whether you are new to AI or have some background, this workshop will offer valuable insights into the future of AI governance and the exciting research that will guide it.

3:00 - 3:15 pm: Professor JP Singh – explains the landscape of AI governance today
3:15 - 3:30 pm: Dr. Anna Nadibaidze speaks about AI as prestige-seeking and status in international relations.

4:00 - 4:20 pm – Professor Ingvild Bode speaks about AI in the military – regulatory challenges and pressing issues of machine-human interaction. Launches the grant explaining purposes.
