Looking for a way to get out of your head during finals week? The Center for the Arts invites you to come play in Gallery 360! Take a break from studying and explore the uncanny world of games, toys, and crafts through the new exhibition At Play.

Come discover a toy store created by machine learning, let your hands be the guide to de- and re-constructing Block Party blocks, and consider the meaning of play as explored by the artists whose work is on display.

Snacks will be provided!

At Play
Presenting work by five women artists navigating and untangling the tensions of play, At Play pays particular attention to the societal expectations placed upon women through these systems. Drawing on methods ranging from material exploration to emergent technologies, each artist grapples with the cultural impact of play as it permeates and mediates everyday life.

Gallery 360
Gallery 360, located on the first floor of the Curry Student Center (enter through either the Curry Student Center or Ell Hall) is Northeastern University’s contemporary art project space and a resource for teaching, learning and programming across curricula. It is curated by Juliana Barton, Director of the Center for the Arts.
