STUDENT PANELISTS

LeAnn Mendoza (she/her) is an Align Master's in Data Science graduate student at Northeastern University, San Jose. She received her B.S. degree in Bioengineering: Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Diego. In her internships and research assistantships, she's completed projects centered around machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision for autonomous driving, ophthalmology, and project management applications. LeAnn is also highly passionate about data and computer science accessibility and inclusion, and actively supports initiatives to increase STEM and CS education accessibility within K-12 and for those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Shruti Lohani(she/her) is an IoT and Cybersecurity Engineer. She is currently pursuing her MS in Cyber-Physical Systems from Northeastern University with a specialization in the Internet of Things. She is also a Graduate Student Ambassador for the same program and a Teaching assistant at the College of Engineering. Prior to this, She was working as a Computer Scientist in the IoT R&D lab in France and has more than 4 years of experience developing IoT solutions as Software, and Platforms as a service. She also presented a tool at DEFCON28 for IoT security and has conducted webinars in European Women in Tech platforms like Ascend explaining security and privacy implications for smart home technology.

Akshay Kautkar (he/him) was born & raised in Mumbai, India. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in project management with a dream of becoming an eminent project manager. He is working as a student programming assistant on campus under the wonderful CPS academic advisor, Sweeny Youkhane.
