DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the seventh annual “Speed Data-ing” rese
 arch collaboration event on November 2\, 12–1pm (Eastern). This virtual 
 event will bring together potential collaborators to discuss a range of di
 gital humanities and computational social science research questions\, met
 hodologies\, and data sets. This year\, we will be holding Speed Data-ing 
 in collaboration with the Digital Scholarship Group as a part of the Digit
 al Humanities Open Office Hours series.\n\nSpeed Data-ing will feature lig
 htning talks by Northeastern researchers\, including several project suppo
 rted by NULab Seedling and Travel Grants.\n\nThis year’s event will incl
 ude presentations by:\n\nSilvio Amir\, Computer Sciences\, and Yakov Bart\
 , Marketing\, on the project “Characterizing the Impact of Influential A
 ctors on the Dynamics of #MeToo Online Social Movement”\n\nSina Fazelpou
 r\, Philosophy and Computer Sciences\, on the project “Responsible Resea
 rch and Innovation in the Age of Big Data” \n\nGina Nortonsmith\, Northe
 astern University Library\, on the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice pr
 oject\n\nDavid Smith\, Computer Sciences\, on current research into Optica
 l Character Recognition (OCR) technologies\n\nFollowing the talks\, there 
 will be time for questions and discussion among the presenters and attende
