About this Event
Please join us for the ninth annual “Speed Data-ing” research collaboration event on November 13, 12–1pm Boston, 9–10am Oakland, 5–6pm London. This virtual event exhibits a range of digital humanities and computational social science research questions, methodologies, and datasets. This year, we will be holding Speed Data-ing in collaboration with the Digital Scholarship Group as a part of the Digital Humanities Open Office Hours series.
Speed Data-ing will feature lightning talks by Northeastern researchers, including several projects supported by NULab Seedling, Community Collaboration, and Travel Grants.
This year’s event will include presentations by:
- Fadeke Castor–Religion and Africana Studies–on Digital Ancestral Altars
- Xuechen Chen–Politics and International Relations, Northeastern University London–on Strategic Narratives of Russia’s War in Ukraine: A Comparative Study of the United States and the European Union
- Gökçen Erkılıç–Art + Design, CAMD–on Herbal Marginalia Diaspora: Mapping Emergent Forms of Co-existence in Community Gardens
- Carlos Sandoval Oscaloaga–Architecture, CAMD–on Drawing Participation: Collectively Re-Blocking a Million Neighborhoods
