In this 250th anniversary year of the American Revolution, come view excerpts from the new documentary film In Search of Phillis Wheatley Peters and hear from the filmmakers, Leslie Askew and Turlough White. Dr. Kabria Baumgartner will moderate a conversation with the filmmakers and Dr. Nicole Aljoe on how they brought the inspiring story of America’s first published Black author and her life in Boston to the screen. Dr. Baumgartner and Dr. Aljoe are among the scholars interviewed for this documentary.
