Python and Text Analysis for Absolute Beginners (Part 1)
Wednesday, October 13, 2021 12pm to 1pm
About this Event
Part one of a two-part session on text analysis. This event will be hosted with Research Data Services and the Digital Scholarship Group as part of the Digital Humanities Office Hours series held virtually on Wednesdays at 12pm (Eastern). In this hands-on session, attendees will learn how to use Jupyter notebooks, an interactive web tool for running and writing about code. Then we’ll work with Python in Jupyter notebooks in preparation for next week’s session. No prior knowledge of either Jupyter or Python is assumed or required.
This workshop will be led by Jen Ferguson, Research Data Services, and Sarah Connell, NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. RSVP here.
