The IHESJR along with the Social Sciences Environmental Health Research Institute and the Civil Rights Restorative Justice Project is sponsoring a viewing of the documentary, Power to Heal. This documentary is about the historic struggle to secure equal and adequate access to health care for all Americans. Central to the story is the tale of how a new national program, Medicare, was used to mount a dramatic, coordinated effort that desegregated thousand of hospitals across the country in a matter of months.
