About this Event
View mapProsecutors are arguably the most powerful players in the criminal justice system, deciding who to charge, with what crimes, and whether to offer a plea bargain. Yet, despite their vast power, prosecutors enjoy little accountability to the public. Ethical rules, in theory, serve as a safeguard against unchecked prosecutorial power. Professor Medwed will explore some of the most pressing ethical issues related to prosecutorial power in the United States.
Speaker: Daniel Medwed, Professor of Law and Criminal Justice, School of Law
