  by Northeastern faculty\, staff\, and students about their work in digita
 l humanities and computational social science. This year’s theme will be
  “Generative AI: Creative Potentials and Ethical Responsibilities” and
  will include a diverse set of interdisciplinary presentations on topics i
 ncluding creative uses and ethics of generative AI. Our keynote address wi
 ll be delivered by Dr. Lara J. Martin\, CIFellow Postdoc at the University
  of Pennsylvania. This event will be hybrid: join us in Raytheon Amphithea

  Exploring the Ethical Contours of AI \n\nKeynote biography\n\nDr. Lara J.
  Martin is a 2020 Computing Innovation Fellow (CIFellow) postdoctoral rese
 archer at the University of Pennsylvania working with Dr. Chris Callison-B
 urch. In 2020\, she earned her PhD in Human-Centered Computing from the Ge
 orgia Institute of Technology\, where she worked with Dr. Mark Riedl. She 
 also has a MS in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University and
  a BS in Computer Science & Linguistics from Rutgers University—New Brun
 swick. Dr. Martin’s work resides in the field of Human-Centered Artifici
 al Intelligence with a focus on natural language applications. They have w
 orked in the areas of automated story generation\, speech processing\, and
  affective computing\, publishing in top-tier conferences such as AAAI\, E
 MNLP\, and IJCAI. They have also been featured in Wired and BBC Science Fo
 cus magazine.
