Today, Venice’s monuments and way of life are threatened by rising sea levels, pollution, and unsustainable tourism practices. Students are invited to apply for an embedded spring break trip to learn how the city is meeting these challenges. Our trip includes the study of Venetian art and architecture, a tour of the lagoon and its island ecosystem, and consultation with experts on cultural preservation and sustainability in a time of rapid climate change.
