DESCRIPTION:During wartime\, the news media is often pulled between the pol
es of journalistic truth-seeking on the one hand\, and support for the nat
ion's military interests on the other. How do consumers of news discern w
hether they are seeing misinformation\, misleading information\, or patrio
tic journalism? Using examples from history and the present\, put yourself
in the shoes of a journalist\, and consider your awareness as a consumer
 of news.
