Lilian Thuram had a prestigious international career in football for the French national team--World Cup champion in 1998. In 2008, he created the Lilian Thuram Foundation for Education to educate against racism and has since become a high-profile activist providing workshops, lectures, and exhibitions.


Moderated by: Régine Jean-Charles, Director of Africana Studies, Dean’s Professor of Culture and Social Justice, Professor of Africana Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Co-sponsored by the CSSH Dean's Office, the History Department, the Department of Cultures, Societies and Global Studies, and the Africana Studies program.
