Community Forum: How Do We Police the Police?
Wednesday, July 22, 2020 12pm to 1:30pm
About this Event
Where do we go from here? How do we end the crisis of justice in the United States? How has corruption so deeply entrenched itself in law enforcement, and what will it take to reach a brighter future? There are no easy answers to these questions. The problems with which we grapple are vast and complex. The solutions will be as well.
Join us for a discussion tackling these problems through an analysis of police accountability. Esteemed panelists from academia, government and the community will discuss possible approaches to expand responsibility within law enforcement and to hold police accountable when they commit dangerous and risky police behavior. One thing is clear – the time to wait and see is over.
