On Monday, October 31, Dr. Amaya Alvez Marin, professor of law at University of Concepción in Chile, will deliver a presentation on the drafting of a new constitution for Chile.
Dr. Amaya Alvez Marin is a Representative of the Region del Biobio to the Chilean Constitutional Convention as well as a lawyer, human rights activist and member of Northeastern Law’s International Social and Economic Rights Project. She will discuss the Chilean constituent process and her work to replace Chile’s Pinochet-era constitution with one incorporating robust human rights protections.
