The Public Interest Technology Student Interest Group invites you to a screening of The Social Dilemma, to explore the "consequences of our growing dependence on social media."

ABOUT THE FILM

"Discover what’s hiding on the other side of your screen: We tweet, we like, and we share— but what are the consequences of our growing dependence on social media? This documentary-drama hybrid reveals how social media is reprogramming civilization with tech experts sounding the alarm on their own creations.

From the creators of Chasing Ice and Chasing Coral, The Social Dilemma blends documentary investigation and narrative drama to disrupt the disrupters, unveiling the hidden machinations behind everyone’s favorite social media and search platforms."

This screening is hosted by the Public Interest Technology Student Interest Group of San Francisco and Silicon Valley campuses. For more information about the event, please contact Bobby Zip at zipp.r@northeastern.edu. Learn more about Student Interest Groups and how you can join or start one.
