SEMINAR: Improving Our Teaching By Creating Inclusive Learning Environments
“Collectively Improving Our Teaching: Department-wide Efforts in Scientific Teaching that Produced Classroom Transformations, Unanticipated Discoveries, and Scholarly Publications.”
The Northeastern University Skills and Capacity for Inclusion (NU-SCI) Program, supported by a grant from HHMI, invites you to two special programs featuring award-winning teacher and scholar Dr. Kimberly Tanner of San Francisco State University.
Dr. Tanner will be providing two interactive, thought-provoking events focused on science education. Participants will gain insights and evidence-based strategies to transform their own classrooms.
In this seminar, Dr. Tanner will discuss her department's long-term, collaborative professional development program that sparked widespread change in teaching practices while improving departmental relations. She'll be working interactively with audience members to stimulate thoughts and ideas surrounding implementation of positive changes in teaching.
Refreshments will be served following the seminar.
