Seminar: Ethics, Human Rights, and the Contemporary Refugee Crisis
Do we have a moral obligation to intervene when global crises threaten others’ human rights? Serena Parekh views philosophy, particularly ethical philosophy, as a key component of the toolkit necessary for effective global citizenship in the 21st century. Drawing on her recent book Refugees and the Ethics of Forced Displacement, Professor Parekh will show us how to apply rigorous ethical thinking to current events such as the refugee crisis.
