About this Event
View mapThe impacts of global change on ocean ecosystems are now pervasive. How well do we truly understand the ways in which a shifting climate affects non-human organisms? How might our anthropocentric view of the world cloud our understanding of what to expect in nature? Professor Helmuth will discuss how cutting-edge technology can be used to explore how coastal animals experience their environments, and how our perceptions of the world unconsciously frame the ways in which we talk about climate change and its impacts.
Speaker: Brian Helmuth, MS’91, Professor, Marine and Environmental Sciences and Public Policy and Urban Affairs, College of Science
