About this Event
There may be 7,000 languages spoken in the world, but nearly 40% of them are currently endangered and many of them will die off in the next 15-20 years. In this mini-class, we'll survey the range and health of languages in the world, and examine what happens in communities when languages are lost. We'll talk about the important question, what can linguists and communities do to save endangered languages?
The full description of the mini-class can be found through SAIL.
