Introduction to Using Healthcare Systems Engineering to Improve Healthcare
This seminar will give a broad overview of the most common types of systems engineering methods used in healthcare, with several examples of each method at micro through macro levels. The objective is to provide a general introduction to these methods and stimulate thinking about how to best use them in the Boston healthcare community. A 45-minute presentation will be followed by open discussion, structured brainstorming about potential local applications, and a poster reception with further examples and light snacks. Presented and facilitated by Dr. James Benneyan, Director, Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute.
