WHERE: Curry Student Center, Room 340

These workshops are for speakers of English as a second language who wish to improve their pronunciation and articulation skills. Students will receive specific information about how to pronounce English sounds and how to use intonation and rhythm to help them be better understood. There is time for practice and tutors who are graduate students in Speech-Language Pathology provide feedback. Practice activities include: pair and group exercises, job interviews, presentations, debates, and networking. Vocabulary related to the students’ coursework, holidays of the season, and the use of formal and casual language will be integrated into the activities.

Each workshop is independent, so students can attend whenever it’s possible and not feel left out when they join a workshop. Space is limited to 15 students on a first-come basis. Online registration is not required.
