About this Event
Free EventThis four-part, hands-on workshop series gives participants the opportunity to develop their skills to present complex research in a classroom context. We will apply design thinking to create engaging, effective presentations. Participants will learn how to structure their talk, incorporate active learning strategies, and build on students’ prior knowledge and motivation. We will use theatre improv to connect to audiences and further develop inclusive climates for diverse learners. In the final session, participants will give brief (3- to 5-minute) research talks and receive feedback. Refreshments will be provided each day. [Note: This workshop series has a maximum enrollment of 24 participants. Please register only if you are able to participate in all four sessions.]
