ENVR 1112 Environmental Geology - earthquakes, volcanoes, and more

Saturday, August 19 more dates through September 10, 2017

If you have ever wondered why California or Nepal have so many earthquakes, or why Oregon has volcanoes, or how we humans can live in more environmentally sustainable ways, then this course is for you. Besides volcanoes and earthquakes, this course delves into environmental issues related to rivers, groundwater, landslides, and coast lines. It goes beyond describing the problems to present ways to avoid and minimize them. Along the way in this course, you will gain a greater understanding and appreciation for earth features and processes.
