Data Destruction Day
If it’s time to say goodbye to that old device—and if it has the ability to hold data, make sure you PROPERLY and SAFELY destroy the device and associated data.
Data Destruction Day is coming back to the Boston Campus on Monday, October 18 from 11:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. EST- and it’s FREE for Students, Faculty, and Staff!
Just bring that old laptop, smartphone, multifunction printer or even an Echo Dot to the A1 DataShred trucks. They will even take stacks of paper files. Not only will this help ensure that any residual data cannot be recovered, it will also ensure that your devices will be handled in an environmentally sustainable way.
What can you bring? Any of the following:
- Laptops
- Loose hard drives
- External hard drives
- Cell phones
- Tablets
- Data-bearing gaming devices (Xbox, Wii)
- Smart speakers, controllers, etc. (Alexa, Echo, etc.)
- DVDs/CDs/Thumb drives
- Multi-function printers
- Scanners
- Paper
