Caffé Italiano

Caffé Italiano is a conversation group taking place every Thursday during the Fall and Spring semesters where you can practice speaking, meet new friends, learn about Italian culture, playing games, while drinking a real Italian espresso or cappuccino!
Students regularly enrolled in Italian classes can earn a 1% increase in their final grade if they attend at least 4 meetings.

Hi Tulay, it is an weekly meeting where students who are enrolled in Italian courses at NEU participate, but it is also opened to students who are interested in improving Italian and learn more about Italy's culture and society. This is achieved through interactive activities, such as group games and activities as well as conversation. You can be a beginner as the caffe does include students from all level so activities are adjusted based on the level. Espresso coffee is also served with italian cookies and pastries. You may also consider some of the activities offered by the Italian Cultural Society at NEU! I hope this helps!
