About this Event
Free EventIn learning environments ranging from on-ground courses to Experiential Learning opportunities such as Dialogue of Civilizations, we might come across instances where an individual’s attitudes or stereotypes affect their actions, decisions, or interpretations. These explicit or implicit biases sometimes surface in the learning environments we create and make others and even ourselves feel uncertain, judged, or offended. This workshop will help faculty members leverage these uncomfortable occasions and transform them into teachable moments for both students and themselves. Lunch will be provided.
