16th Annual ASL Festival!

The ASL Program put on its first George W. Veditz ASL Festival in 1997. From then it has grown to an event with over 600 people attending annually.

Now the festival is a three part event starting Friday afternoon with the Marie Jean Philip ASL Poetry, Storytelling and Deaf Art Competition Finals. The performance segment of the Festival runs Friday night, in Blackman Auditorium, and workshops are held on Saturday to close out the event.

Performers of the past have included: Mary Beth Miller, Patrick Graybill, Adrian Blue, PAH! Deaf Youth Theatre, Angela Straity, Evon Black Robinson, Matthew "Magic" Morgan, Bill Ennis, Clayton Valli, Manny Hernandez, Nathie Marbury, Ruth Moore, Ivy Velez, Elinor Kraft, and Janis Cole, just to name a few.

Workshop presenters in the past have included: M.J. Bienvenu, Sharon Neuman Solo, Angela Straity, Nathie Marbury, Clayton Valli, Patrick McCarthy, Matthew Moore, Patrick Graybill, Dennis Cokely, Manny Hernandez, and many others.
